It was during the 2008-2009 season that the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège included actors from the CEJOLI in its productions for the very first time, in Il Barbiere di Siviglia. This long-term collaboration promotes the development and skills of adults with disabilities and contributes to their full integration, in a joint inclusive approach. During the 2023-2024 season, CEJOLI actors participated as extras in two productions: Il Turco in Italia and Dialogues des Carmélites. Candidates are involved in the whole process and have an audition involving participation in a scene onstage. The people selected by the director then join the artistic team of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège and take part, from the outset, in all the rehearsals. The Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège is delighted with this collaboration.
