Bruno De Simone, renowned for his talents as a singer and actor, is equally at ease in comic opera (Rossini and Donizetti) as in 18th and 19th century drama giocoso or also bel canto. He has played no less than 17 roles of Rossini’s characters, with his performances as Galuppi, Pergolesi, Paisiello and Cimarosa particularly standing out. Boasting many distinctions and regularly appearing on the greatest stages and at prestigious festivals, he has performed at La Scala in Milan, at the Rossini Pesaro Festival, at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, in Turin, Parma, Bologna, the arenas of Verona, at the Fenice in Venice, at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, at the Teatro dell’Opera and Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia in Rome, in Vienna, Paris, Tokyo, Barcelona, Madrid, Washington and Amsterdam… On our stage, he has starred in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (2011) and La Cenerentola (2014 and 2019).
