FROM LIÈGE TO MUSCAT…

Situated in the heart of the Sultanate of Oman’s capital city, the Muscat Royal Opera House (ROH) was inaugurated in October 2011 with a production of Turandot directed by Franco Zeffirelli.

As a veritable complex dedicated to the performing arts, the first opera house on the Arabian Peninsula and the second in the Middle East after the Cairo Opera, the ROH seeks to be a cultural crossroads that hosts both classical western productions and works as well as artists of Arab origin.

For this second journey of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège to Oman, the Choirs and Orchestra will play Anna Bolena. Conducted by Giampaolo Bisanti, Olga Peretyatko, Sofia Soloviy, Maxim Mironov and Erwin Schrott will respectively portray Anna Bolena, Giovanna Seymour, Lord Riccardo Percy and Enrico VIII.
