After an amazingly innovative and eye-opening Bel Canto masterclass, the final concert will highlight young, accomplished talents.  An emotional moment for everyone!

This new Bel Canto Singing Masterclass is organised from the 5-10 October under the supervision of the baritone Bruno De Simone and soprano Alessandra Rossi. It will offer 10 singers-participants and 10 singers-observers (under 38 years old) to benefit from a 5-day training for advice, singing and interpretation. Attention will be mainly focused on the elocutionary pertinence for specific roles and procuring a “resplendent sound”.

Following this Masterclass, and under the direction of Bruno De Simone and Alessandra Rossi, participants will demonstrate the training’s efficacy in an exceptional final concert.

BEL CANTO WORKSHOP | Interpretative technique and style

During the 2021/22 season, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège will be proposing a new event open to artists and the general public: 6 days of a Master Class based on the bel canto style.

Open to all singers (under 38 years) with a music academy diploma and professional training, this Master Class will alternately be given by two major specialists of the bel canto style: soprano Alessandra Rossi and baritone Bruno de Simone.
